The ICAO screening test is designed to replicate the actual ICAO English language proficiency examination. The complete screening, including both written assessment and live interview, is conducted online through Zoom and typically lasts 1-2 hours. It consists of several parts: (1) Introduction and conversation - a brief conversation where you introduce yourself and discuss your aviation experience, (2) Picture description - you will be asked to describe aviation-related pictures, testing your ability to provide detailed descriptions and use technical terminology, (3) Listening comprehension - you will listen to recordings of aviation communication (such as ATIS messages or pilot-ATC communications) followed by questions to verify understanding, (4) Reading and interpretation - you will read and explain text from aviation manuals, AIP, or regulations, assessing your ability to understand written materials, (5) Communication simulation - practice of standard and non-standard communication scenarios between pilot and air traffic control, focusing on your ability to respond effectively in various situations. The entire test is conducted in English and is recorded for evaluation purposes.
