Introduction
Listen carefully to a sequence of spoken numbers, then identify the requested number from the options presented on screen.
A sequence of numbers is spoken. You then pick which of several buttons shows a number from that sequence. There is no visual list to fall back on.
The task
- Listen attentively as a series of numbers is spoken through audio
- Each number will be followed by a beep and a short pause
- After all numbers have been presented, buttons with different numbers will appear
- Identify and click on the button showing one of the numbers you just heard
- Respond within the time limit to score points
- Incorrect selections or running out of time will result in a failed round
Priorities
- Try to silently repeat each number to yourself as you hear it
- Create mental associations or patterns with the numbers to improve recall
- Focus on the sound rather than trying to visualize the numbers
- Use rhythmic or musical thinking to remember the sequence
- Pay extra attention to unusual or distinctive numbers in the sequence
- If possible, group numbers into meaningful chunks (like dates or familiar sequences)
