Ryanair Surpasses 200 Million Annual Passengers

Ryanair becomes first EU airline to carry over 200 million passengers in a year.
Ryanair achieved a historic milestone by carrying more than 200 million passengers within a single year, even as its annual net profit declined 16% to €1.61 billion. Chief Executive Michael O'Leary anticipates modest ticket price increases and projects ongoing expansion as additional Boeing 737 MAX planes join the fleet.
This achievement reinforces Ryanair's leading status among Europe's budget airlines. The carrier has persistently grown its network of destinations, increasing service to previously underserved locations while using streamlined fleet management to sustain financial performance.
O'Leary attributed the passenger record to improved digital reservation systems and robust operations in Spain, Italy, and Poland. The airline intends to launch 230 additional routes during the upcoming fiscal year and has established fresh operating bases across Eastern Europe and Mediterranean regions. Customer satisfaction ratings have also risen, driven by better on-time performance and an updated aircraft interior renovation initiative.
