Introduction
Spatial Recall is a Stage 1 module in the NATS Preparation Suite. Markers light up one at a time on a scattered field. After each flash you answer a spatial question, and at the end you tap the markers in the order they appeared.
The task
Watch which marker lights up, then answer the question that follows before the next marker appears. The question is one of three. Mirror: press Yes when the right table is a reflection of the left. Rotation: press Yes when the right table is the left table turned clockwise by 90, 180, or 270 degrees, and the picture looks different. Combination: press Yes when the lower drawing is the two upper drawings laid together. Press No when the match fails. Keys Y and N do the same.
After the series, the field returns and you tap the markers in the order they lit up. The spatial question is there to interrupt that order, so the recall is the part that finishes the round. Each flash, each question, and the recall are timed.
A level may pause after an answer and show whether it was right, or continue at once.

Priorities
Store the marker as a position on the field, not as a number you hope to remember later. Answer the spatial question from the rule on the screen, then go straight back to the sequence. A Yes on a table that is only similar will not help the recall. A wrong tap ends the recall, and the spatial answers you already gave still count.
The in-module walkthrough shows a flash, each of the three question types, and the recall. Spatial Orientation, Motion Challenge, and Inductive Reasoning are other Stage 1 modules in the suite. A broader overview is available in NATS Test Explained.
