Introduction
Inductive Reasoning is a Stage 1 module in the NATS Preparation Suite. Each question shows two grids that share one rule. You choose the two other grids that follow that same rule.
The task
Study the two example grids first. They both obey one rule, and that rule is hidden. Four more grids sit below them. Select exactly two, then press Confirm. You cannot return to a question after you confirm it. Each question has its own time limit, and a question that times out is missed.
A grid can use the same shapes as the examples and still break the rule. The rule is about how the cells relate, not about which shapes appear. It may be a mirror, a repeated row or column, a turn, a shift, or a mirror across a diagonal.
A level may pause after you confirm, or go straight to the next question.

Priorities
Name the rule in words before you look at the choices. “The left and right cells of each row match” is a rule you can test. “These shapes look familiar” is not. Check both selected grids against that sentence, because one matching grid and one near miss still fails the question. Confirm only when both grids pass.
The in-module walkthrough uses a left-right mirror and shows which two grids follow it. Grid Deduction, Ability to Concentrate, and Spatial Orientation are other Stage 1 modules in the suite. A broader overview is available in NATS Test Explained.
