NATS: Listening Comprehension

Introduction

Listening Comprehension is a Stage 2 module in the NATS Preparation Suite. A recording plays once. The questions stay hidden until it ends, and you answer from what was said.

The task

Each clip is a conversation, a lecture, or a discussion. You hear it once. It does not play again in this practice. When the audio ends, the questions for that clip appear together. They ask for a number, a name, a place, a time, or a statement from the recording. Choose the option that matches what was said.

You answer every question from that clip before the next recording starts. NATS does not publish the live clip count, or whether the live test allows a replay. Follow the Aon instructions on the day if they differ.

The questions appear after the recording ends. The right detail is the one that was said.

Priorities

Note the facts as you hear them: amounts, names, places, and the order things happen. A later sentence often corrects or replaces an earlier one, so keep the version that stands at the end of the clip. When the questions appear, match the wording to that note. An option can sound plausible and still be a number that was never said.

The in-module walkthrough states the rule before the first clip: listen once, then answer. Situational Judgement is the other Stage 2 module in the suite. Spatial Recall is a Stage 1 module that also asks you to hold a sequence while something else is on screen. A broader overview is available in NATS Test Explained.
