Introduction
Situational Judgement is a Stage 2 module in the NATS Preparation Suite. You read a workplace situation and mark the response you would use and the response you would not use.
The task
Each situation offers several responses. Choose the most effective one and the least effective one. They have to be two different options. You do not rank the responses that sit in between.
Most effective is the response that deals with the problem now and reaches the person who needs to know. Least effective can sound reasonable and still leave the problem untouched, hidden, or with the wrong person. After you confirm, the next situation starts once you have read why those two responses sit at the ends.
The situations are about timing and about who should decide. They are original workplace scenes for this practice. They are not copies of the live NATS or Aon items.

Priorities
Read what has already gone wrong, who is affected, and how long the situation can wait. Prefer the response that acts on that, and mark as least effective the one that walks away or hands the problem to someone who cannot fix it. Two sensible middle options can both be left unmarked. The explanation after each situation shows which difference the question was using.
The in-module walkthrough uses one situation and marks the warning as most effective and walking on as least effective. Listening Comprehension is the other Stage 2 module in the suite. A broader overview is available in NATS Test Explained.
